About Acupuncture in NZ

All specialists in our Acupuncture clinic are certified by Acupuncture NZ, established in 1977. It is the largest professional body representing practitioners of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in New Zealand. Members have completed the equivalent of four years of full-time training either in New Zealand or overseas and have been accepted by ACC as Treatment Providers since 1990.

Practitioners who have gained their qualification overseas are required to pass written and practical assessments. All members are bound by the Rules, Clinical Procedures and Safe Clinical Practice and Code of Professional Ethics of our  organization and are required to complete 20 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) education each year and hold a current first aid certificate to maintain their Annual Practicing Certificate.
